Mental Health Awareness - An Ethnographic Perspective

Jadgesh Ramjit has been part of the Management Team at Republic Bank Limited for close to a decade. He holds an MBA from the University of Akron, a B.Sc. Management Studies (First Class Honors) from UWI, and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. He is an International Fullbright Alumni member, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) and has earned his Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional qualification (CRCMP) from the International Association of Risk and Compliance Professionals (IARCP). One of his most profound achievements was the completion of the Columbia Business Executive Program on Driving Performance and Change which illuminated his thoughts on Neuroplasticity and the Growth Mind set.

His experiences, both as a banking professional and an academic, positions him well to share more about mental health awareness and tools to work through them. He has led Teams in Trinidad, Suriname, Barbados and Cayman Islands which adds to his bank of observations on change and mental health and boosted by his academic/lecturing experiences at the University of the West Indies and The George W. Daverio School of Accountancy in the United States.

As an avid reader he often references a couple of titles that have expanded his scope of perspectives with dealing and helping someone with mental health awareness; namely: The Body Keeps The Score by Van Der Kolk, Daring Greatly by Berne Brown and The Fifth Agreement by Don Miguel Ruiz. Jadgesh loves spending time at the beach and family and expends equal effort on maintaining his health and wellness.
