Rotary Club of St Augustine 'Flatten the Curve' Project

The Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of St Augustine launched Phase 1 of our Flatten the Curve’ Project with distribution of masks at Massy Stores, St Augustine; TruValu, Trincity and Xtra Foods at their Grand Bazaar and Endeavour locations.

For over a week, during the early to mid morning period, the Club members, volunteers and final year students of Faculty of Medical Sciences, The UWI, St Augustine were at various groceries distributing masks and conducting educational sessions on the proper way of using a mask for protection against the COVID-19 virus. A total of ten (10) mask dispensers were created for the individually sealed masks by The Label House Group and sponsored by Trinidad & Tobago Manufacturer’s Association (TTMA). The project also received sponsorship from Xtra Foods.

Phase 2 of the project will include distribution to staff at senior citizens/childrens' homes and other high risk groups. A total of 5,000 masks will be distributed by the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of St Augustine.

Thanks to all out sponsors, volunteers and club members. Thank you T&T Guardian newspaper for the coverage of our project.
